Construction Manager (Electrical) ()

Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all electrical construction activities on site
- Coordinate subcontractors suppliers and site personnel
- Ensure compliance with project specifications drawings and quality standards
- Monitor project progress against programme and budget
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act and Construction Regulations
- Lead toolbox talks safety meetings and risk assessments
- Liaise with clients consultants engineers and project stakeholders
- Manage procurement and material delivery schedules
- Review and approve method statements and technical submissions
- Prepare progress reports and attend site meetings
- Identify and resolve construction and technical issues proactively
- Ensure testing commissioning and handover requirements are completed
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Trade Test Certificate (Electrician) advantageous
- SACPCMP registration as:
- Professional Construction Manager (PrCM) or
- Minimum 510 years experience in electrical construction projects
- Experience in medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) installations
- Experience in industrial commercial infrastructure or mining projects advantageous
- Valid drivers licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning software
Technical Competencies
- Electrical reticulation and distribution systems
- Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems
- Cable installations substations transformers and switchgear
- Construction planning and scheduling
- Site supervision and contractor management
- Health & Safety compliance
- Quality assurance and control
- Contract administration knowledge (FIDIC advantageous)
