We are currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President Wealth and Private Banking Operations.

Inthis role you will:

  • Manage end-to-end Wealth & Private Banking operations ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing and effective GL/Suspense account management.
  • Oversee daily delivery of outsourced/offshore activities managing SLAs/PLAs and performing end-of-day review and quality checks.
  • Maintain high customer service standards resolving enquiries/complaints promptly and driving service and process improvements.
  • Prepare and review daily monthly management and regulatory reporting with accuracy and on-time submission.
  • Drive operational efficiency through simplification workflow streamlining and targeted automation to reduce manual effort and defects.
  • Lead and support projects and system/process enhancements with global regional and business partners ensuring actions are completed to agreed scope and timelines.
  • Maintain a robust risk and control environmentby ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and HSBC policies or procedures validating and evidencing effective control operation achieving satisfactory audit outcomes closing audit and regulatory actions within agreed timelines and containing losses and customer complaints.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on incidents/issues identify control gaps drive remediation to timely closure with audit-ready evidence escalate material risks and keep Desk Instruction Manuals up to date.

To be successful you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Banking & Finance Wealth Management or related discipline with 510 years Wealth and Private Banking operations experience including operational processing and GL/Suspense account management.
  • Strong stakeholder management influencing and coaching skills to deliver results in a matrix environment (including offshore teams) with proven experience managing outsourced/offshore delivery and third-party providers through SLA oversight performance management and quality assurance.
  • Strong project delivery skills; strong process management and continuous improvement capability delivering measurable efficiency/cost outcomes through simplification and automation.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving capability with a risk and control mindset (MI interpretation root-cause analysis audit/regulatory support) and effective stakeholder management.
  • Excellent planning attention to detail and ability to deliver accurately under pressure and to demanding timescales and strong risk and control mindset with experience supporting audits regulatory actions and control effectiveness.
  • Highly motivated collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills a customer-first mindset and commercial awareness.
