Job Summary

  • Ensure vessels are maintained in compliance with Classification Society Flag State Port State Control Oil Major and statutory requirements.

  • Implement monitor and ensure compliance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).

  • Review approve and monitor vessel repairs including preparation of purchase orders and work orders.

  • Prepare dry-docking and repair specifications supervise repair activities and monitor work progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

  • Manage assigned vessel budgets and ensure vessels operate according to Owners operational standards and company requirements.

  • Conduct internal audits risk assessments incident investigations and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Coordinate and attend inspections by Classification Societies Flag State Port State Control Underwriters and Oil Majors.

  • Support the Crewing Department in coordinating technical and crew-related matters.

  • Plan and conduct routine vessel inspections and technical audits.

  • Monitor vessel performance maintenance schedules and repair activities while providing technical support and advice to shipboard personnel.



Requirements
  • Holder of Class 1 or Class 2 Certificate of Competency (COC).

  • Minimum sailing experience as 2nd Engineer or above on board product tankers.

  • Minimum 2 years shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent in a tanker shipping company.

  • Familiar with Oil Major vetting and inspection requirements.

  • Good knowledge of PMS SMS Flag State and Classification Society requirements.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting communication and organizational skills.
