Technical Superintendent (Tankers)

Ensure vessels are maintained in compliance with Classification Society Flag State Port State Control Oil Major and statutory requirements.

Implement monitor and ensure compliance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).

Review approve and monitor vessel repairs including preparation of purchase orders and work orders.

Prepare dry-docking and repair specifications supervise repair activities and monitor work progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

Manage assigned vessel budgets and ensure vessels operate according to Owners operational standards and company requirements.

Conduct internal audits risk assessments incident investigations and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate and attend inspections by Classification Societies Flag State Port State Control Underwriters and Oil Majors.

Support the Crewing Department in coordinating technical and crew-related matters.

Plan and conduct routine vessel inspections and technical audits.

Monitor vessel performance maintenance schedules and repair activities while providing technical support and advice to shipboard personnel.

Holder of Class 1 or Class 2 Certificate of Competency (COC).

Minimum sailing experience as 2nd Engineer or above on board product tankers.

Minimum 2 years shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent in a tanker shipping company.

Familiar with Oil Major vetting and inspection requirements.

Good knowledge of PMS SMS Flag State and Classification Society requirements.

Strong technical troubleshooting communication and organizational skills.
