Software Engineer Trainee (Android)

At foodpanda were on a mission to redefine how tech food people and culture are connected operating in 12 countries worldwide. Our team is working on big challenges and complex scalability problems as we grow 6X annually processing millions of orders a day. Youll be part of a highly collaborative cross-functional agile team that always includes frontend and backend engineers design and product owners. Our teams operate in an open and fast-paced environment with very flat structures where everyone has a say and youll also get hands-on exposure to how modern engineering teams are integrating AI into our workflows from development to delivery.

This role is a 6 months traineeship provided by foodpanda to build the next generation of engineers through classroom & On-the-Job training to build performant and user-friendly applications for Android using Kotlin.

Qualifications :

What you can bring to the table:

• Interest or experience in learning new programming languages and tools to help build maintain and operate software services at scale
• Have a good understanding or direct experience with coding in any languages and technologies (e.g. Java Kotlin Python React Swift etc) be it from school bootcamps or through self-learned courses.
• Exposure or curiosity about AI tools and how they fit into modern software development
• Be an analytical thinker and strong problem solver with a humble inquisitive approach
• Good command of English with ability to articulate work scope. 
• Have strong communication and collaboration skills
