Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to design develop enhance and support enterprise applications. The role focuses on Java/Kotlin Spring Boot IBM MQ SQL and complex production troubleshooting with opportunities to work across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop test and maintain enterprise applications using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable secure and maintainable solutions.
Analyse and resolve complex legacy system defects and production issues.
Develop optimise and troubleshoot SQL queries across Oracle/MySQL databases.
Work with JMS/IBM MQ REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integrations.
Apply JUnit TDD code reviews and software engineering best practices.
Support AWS CI/CD Docker and Git environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming data structures algorithms and software design.
Experience with JUnit TDD and acceptance testing.
Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
Hands-on experience with JMS/IBM MQ and REST/SOAP Web Services.
Working knowledge of Linux AWS CI/CD Docker and Git.
Strong analytical troubleshooting problem-solving and communication skills.
