Site Purchaser FPSO Conversion Projects (Singapore Yard Experience Required)

We are seeking an experienced Site Purchaser with a strong background in FPSO conversion and offshore fabrication projects ideally gained within major Singapore shipyards

Key Experience Required

• Minimum 510 years experience in procurement and expediting roles within the offshore oil & gas or marine industry.
• Demonstrable experience supporting FPSO conversion refurbishment upgrade or topsides integration projects.
• Previous experience working directly within major Singapore fabrication yards.
• Strong understanding of project procurement processes for:
  • Structural steel and fabrication packages
  • Mechanical equipment and rotating machinery
  • Piping valves and fittings
  • Electrical and instrumentation materials
  • Marine and offshore consumables
• Experience managing local and international suppliers to support fast-track project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute project purchasing activities in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
• Source evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and issue RFQs purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate closely with engineering construction logistics QA/QC and project management teams.
• Monitor supplier performance expedite deliveries and resolve procurement issues.
• Support material control warehouse and site logistics activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications client requirements and company procurement procedures.
• Maintain procurement reports cost tracking and status updates for project stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of Singapore and regional offshore supply chains.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP Oracle or IFS.
• Familiarity with client standards for major operators and EPC contractors.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced yard environment with demanding project schedules.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have worked on one or more FPSO conversion projects in Singapore possessing a practical understanding of shipyard operations procurement challenges vendor management and the critical schedule pressures associated with offshore conversion projects.
