The Position

Site Direct Materials Scheduler (Senior)

We are seeking a self-driven highly analytical Site Direct Materials Scheduler (Senior) to secure the heartbeat of our supply this role you will be directly responsible for Direct Materials order management and fulfillment into the RSTO site. You will act as a vital bridge between global Network Direct Material Planners Site Procurement Manufacturing Quality Control and our external supplier network to ensure our lines never stop and patients always receive their treatments.

Responsible for the Direct Material (DM) Order Management / Fulfillment into Singapore (RSTO) Site to support day-to-day operational needs. Convert & confirm order with suppliers identify & escalate issues coordinate delivery prioritize QC test/releases. Work closely with Network Direct Materials Planner/s Site Procurement Manufacturing Quality Process Engineering/Material Sciences to establish and enhance business process systems tools and strategize materials demand/supply/delivery requirements. Share and deploy network level activities to the RSTO site so as to ensure business process consistency and best practice sharing.

The Opportunity

  • Ensure availability of materials through close monitoring of materials inventory level from order placement till order delivery to support planned requirement for site cGMP production Tech-transfers and projects.

  • Key interface and close collaboration with Network Direct Materials Planner/s and Site stakeholders (Prod Scheduling Warehouse/Logistics Procurement Manufacturing Quality Process Engineering Organization) and external suppliers to address any changes to materials requirements and to address the risk/issues to operation.

  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and to participate and/or lead discussions problem solving efforts and process improvements to ensure that performance targets are met or exceeded.

  • Participate in the periodic planning meetings and discussions with Network DM Planners to review forecasts and capacity to understand ability to meet Roche requirements

  • Lead the Warehouse delivery schedule review meetings to review warehouse capacity and align on the incoming delivery dates for Direct materials to meet operation needs.

  • Monitor the release status of Direct materials and work closely with QC Raw materials team to prioritize or expedite release.

  • Perform inventory analysis for Site sourced materials to prevent and minimize excesses and shortages.

  • Support Network Direct Materials Planner/s to review excess & obsolescence (E&O) inventories and to mitigate write-off.

  • Support and review the shelf life expiry of Direct materials and work closely with QC Raw Materials team on retest request if required.

  • Work closely with the Network Direct Materials Planner & Site Procurement team (For e.g. pricing maintenance) to ensure on time delivery of materials.

  • Proactively partner with Master Production Scheduler Production/ Maintenance Scheduler Warehouse Procurement QC QA and Suppliers to communicate and escalate supply issues and ensure materials are available on time to support operations.

  • Own and manage site sourced materials replenishment based on forecasts supplier capacity and category strategies as cascaded from Procurement.

  • Perform transactions related to order conversion managing sales and purchase orders order changes receiving material managing returns in collaboration with/ support from Procurement.

  • Provide impact assessment to internal stakeholders in case the defined delivery lead times are not met.

  • Review order confirmations / updates and take appropriate actions to ensure continuity of supply.

  • Participate in assigned Global / Site project implementations. Participate in projects and business process improvements for supply chain and cross-functional projects to achieve PT business goals and objectives.

  • Ensure compliance of processes including Delegation of Authority ICFR.

  • Along with Network DM Planners support in the Local Business Review meetings and Annual Supplier Relationship meetings with Procurement and key suppliers to address any operational challenges identify opportunities for improvement and mitigating any supply risk and gaps.

  • Lead/ Participate in RSTO cross-functional teams Kaizen improvement projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve work efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage the Purchase Orders issuance and order management in system as per Suppliers confirmation/updates on qty and delivery dates.

  • Perform initial impact assessment to RSTO stakeholders due to shortage or delay in PO deliveries; and escalate to Network Direct Materials Planner and Buyer (if necessary) for support.

  • Support in the performance review process for SDP (Supplier Delivery Performance) with Network Direct Materials Planner & Procurement to identify root cause for the misses.

  • Participate in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

  • Participate in daily Cross-functional and Functional SQDEC meetings.

Who you are

  • You hold a Bachelor Degree in Business Purchasing Operations Supply Chain Management or related field of study with minimum 5 years of relevant working experiences in Supply Chain management Procurement or Supply Chain operations in manufacturing Biopharmaceutical Pharmaceutical industry with cGMP desirable.

  • Experience in materials/supply chain planning and order management of GMP/MRO materials.

  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate win-win solutions within and across organizations

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external contacts at all levels.

  • Applies a complete understanding of Biotech/pharmaceutical industry standards supply chain and GMP manufacturing practices to independently address a broad range of difficult problems.

  • Ability to successfully utilize established business processes and systems.

  • Ability to identify the key issues of a problem approach problem solving analytically and systematically to reach optimal solutions and implement plans of action that maybe impact multiple functions in the organization.

  • Understanding of Lean Production System (LPS) elements and methods.

  • Work is performed under limited direction and guidance with general instructions on new assignments.

  • Exhibit continuous improvement mindset and innovative thinking.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills creative problem solving capabilities and attention to detail.

  • Self-driven and motivated with an engrained quality mindset.

  • Strive for operation excellence and extraordinary results

  • Experience in SAP/ OMP planning tools is desired.

  • Proficient with Google / Microsoft Office applications.
