SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay is seeking a full-time SeniorManagerpurchasingto lead and drive operational excellenceplanning and executing the timely procurement for material parts and services needed to fulfill the production plan at one or more assigned location.

PrimaryResponsibilities

• Developing and maintaining working relations with suppliers assigned.

• Monitoring stock and inventories of local warehouses and planning quantities of parts and materials needed with respect to production and delivery plans.

• Negotiating contracts and specific conditions for delivery of parts materials or services.
  Ensuring timely procurement and order management to ensure parts and materials are appropriately delivered

• Ensuring supplier performance reporting announcing and clarifying claims if necessary
  A job at this level.

• Leads mid-volume local procurement unit to buy assignedfull scopeof parts materials and services for the plant(s) or site(s) assigned

• Contributes to the superior plans and related budgets.

• Manageand continuously improve assigned procurement processes to ensure work is as efficient as possible.

• Leads local negotiationsondeliveries within given limits; act as escalation point of contact for local claim management.

• Manages locally relevant suppliercontractswithinthevalue chain.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering Business Supply Chain or related field

• 8 years of experience in Direct Procurement hands-onexperience executing sourcing activities and supplier negotiation.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with OSATs Assembly Test and BE manufacturing processes is preferredwith at least8years in a regional role

• Experience with contract management and contract process ownership.

• Strong project management stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to operate independently manage ambiguity and drive initiatives across multiple locations

• KnowledgeofSAP MM is preferred.
