As a Senior Engineer Technical Sourcing Engineering (TSE) Plastic youll help drive the technical strategy for plastics products and sourcing.
In this role you will:
Lead alternate dual and resourcing initiatives with suppliers
Manage Supplier Change Request (SCR) resolution to completion and First Article submission to approval
Support product scale-up and capacity expansion
Troubleshoot and resolve plastics-related quality issues
Contribute to cost savings and productivity improvements
Partner with cross-functional teams on New Product Introductions (NPI)
A Day in the Life
Youll work closely with teams across R&D Engineering Quality Procurement Regulatory Product Management and Operations.
Your work may span the full product lifecyclefrom early concept through end-of-life.
Youll engage with a range of manufacturing processes including:
Injection molding blow molding thermoforming and extrusion
Secondary processes such as pad printing plasma treatment and sterilization
Were looking for someone who enjoys solving problems collaborating across teams and working hands-on with plastics manufacturing and tooling.
Requirements
Education
Bachelors degree in: Mechanical Engineering Plastics Engineering Materials Science or a related field.
Experience
8 years of experience in product design new product development tooling or manufacturing
Skills & Experience
Core Skills
Experience addressing molding and processing challenges
Familiarity with tooling design and plastics manufacturing processes
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks Creo or similar)
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Nice to Have
Experience with sourcing or procurement
Familiarity with SAP Agile or Oracle systems
Experience in regulated industries (biotech pharmaceutical etc.)
Exposure to secondary operations and sterilization processes
Additional Information
Travel: Up to 15% (domestic and international)
