Program Manager

About the Job:

Were looking for a Program Manager to join our this role you will work in a matrixed organization within Red Hat to achieve program goals.

Were looking for someone who can steward critical strategic investments and transformational change by providing leadership and direction to programs. Youll be responsible for planning and governance and overseeing the successful output of a program which is made up of multiple projects. Youll help teams complete projects efficiently working as a facilitator and setting shared milestones. Youll manage cross-team collaboration and report status for multiple projects. Youll communicate to stakeholders at different levels of the organization to promote collaboration and coordination. Youll communicate status for multiple projects and monitor achievement of program milestones.

What You Will Do:

• Provide overall program leadership guidance and manage all aspects of a given program including requirements gathering business case creation and implementation

• Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business priorities

• Manage program-level risks and interdependencies

• Manage stakeholder communication and promote collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders

• Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues

• Provide technical expertise in planning execution and leadership of program projects and initiatives

• Provide program reporting and status to senior management

• Develop resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities

What Youll Bring:

• Experience managing a portfolio of large and complex projects

• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels

• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Effective consultative and influencing approach

• Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions

• Ability to succeed in a dynamic matrix organization

• Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures

• More than 5 years of project/program management experience including large-scale complex projects large portfolios

• Experience working with project and portfolio management tools

• Bachelors in engineering computer science information technology Business management

• Project management certification or program management certification are a plus
