Patent Attorney

We are seeking a Patent Attorney with scientific background tojoin our Singapore office on a full-time basis.

In this role you will be working alongside like-minded andmotivated professionals and leading patent attorneys. We workproactively and in close collaboration with our clients to ensurethey receive high quality commercially realistic advice andoutcomes.

Your day to day work will involve all aspects of private patentattorney practice. This includes liaising with inventors andcorporate clients drafting patent specifications conducting duediligence advising on patentability patent infringement andvalidity opinion and managing global prosecution. You will work onmatters for both local and international clients across theinnovation lifecycle.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

• A degree in a scientific discipline (preferably in Life Sciences Biotechnology Chemistry Material Science or related fields).
• Higher degree (MSc/PhD) is preferred.
• Prior patent experience in a firm in-house and/or patent office.

Skills required

• Excellent organisation and communication skills with strong command of English.
• Attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset; able to assimilate and evaluate complex technical information.
• Team player with an ability to work collaboratively.
• Commercial awareness with an interest in business development.
