Murex BO Consultant

Software Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Murex Back Office modules (settlements confirmations accounting).
• Proficiency in Murex workflows static data setup and trade lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python Shell SQL).
• Exposure to integration with payment systems (SWIFT CLS) and accounting interfaces.

Overall Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for Murex Back Office implementations and support.
• Liaise with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Configure test and deploy enhancements in BO modules.
• Provide production support troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth settlement and accounting processes.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (Front Office Risk Technical).

Technical Skills

• Settlements & Confirmations: Payment workflows SWIFT messaging trade confirmations.
• Accounting: General ledger integration reconciliation accounting rules setup.
• Integration: MxML workflows feed handlers APIs.
• Datamart & Reporting: Trade extraction reconciliation reports dashboards.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of handson Murex Back Office consulting.
• Prior exposure to financial institutions preferably in capital markets.
• Experience in endtoend Murex implementation projects.

Day-to-Day Activity

• Configure BO modules and validate settlement workflows.
• Monitor and support daily trade settlement and accounting activities.
• Troubleshoot BO issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
• Conduct UAT with business users and provide training/documentation.
• Participate in design discussions code reviews and performance tuning.

Qualification & Soft Skills

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Finance or related field.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with proactive attitude and attention to detail.
