Job Summary
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repair of marine engines auxiliary engines and cargo pumps.
Diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Read and interpret technical manuals wiring diagrams and schematics to guide repair work.
Conduct scheduled inspections to ensure vessels and equipment meet safety and performance standards.
Carry out troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues.
Coordinate with vessel crew and operations teams to plan and execute service work with minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate service records repair logs and parts usage documentation.
Ensure compliance with relevant marine safety regulations and company procedures.
Support installation and commissioning of new marine equipment and systems.
Respond to on call service requests including work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Requirements
Requirements
Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Marine Mechanics or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
Ability to lift heavy objects work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine service equipment.
Solid working knowledge of marine engines auxiliary engines and cargo pumps.
