Marine Service Engineer (Engine)
Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing maintenance and repair work on marine engines
- Diagnose mechanical and performance issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques
- Perform engine overhauls including disassembly parts replacement and reassembly
- Conduct on-site servicing visits at customer locations as well as in-workshop repairs
- Inspect and test engines after servicing to confirm proper functionality and performance standards
- Maintain accurate service records repair logs and parts usage reports using internal CRM or service management systems
- Advise customers on engine care preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshooting tips
- Source order and manage spare parts and inventory required for servicing jobs
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with workplace safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications
- Support senior engineers or supervisors on more complex repair jobs and provide guidance to junior technicians where needed
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Marine Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Min 2 years of experience servicing or repairing marine engines
- Good knowledge of engine mechanics fuel systems and ignition systems with the ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand or power tools for engine repair work

Required Skills:
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field. An MBA is a plus. Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development in the submarine cables renewable energy or telecom industry. Strong understanding of cable systems and related applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions clearly. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
