Job Summary

Help us get ahead of disease together with our Process Engineering (Pilot Plant) Internship 2027:

Education required: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university preferably in Chemical Engineering

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: January to June 2027

This role sits in our Jurong R&D Pilot Plant.


What will you do

  • Technical application of fundamental engineering skills in the design of process equipment

  • Scoping equipment specifications and working with vendors to obtain best in class design for value

  • Going to site observing plant operations and implementing engineering modifications to plant

  • Commissioning of equipment with engineers and plant technicians

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and safety

What will you learn

  • Understanding of equipment capability: You will learn to differentiate various equipment/instruments understand their specifications and how they are used for processes via the assigned projects

  • Understanding of Management of Change process via the Plant Modification Proposal: You will be involved in designing executing and commissioning of modifications in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment

  • Process scales up understanding: Participation in batch record review & plant processing to gain hands on understanding of safety/quality aspect of introducing a process into a plant

What are we looking for

  • Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and keen to apply engineering fundamentals in a GMP environment

  • Interest with going to manufacturing site observing plant operations and implement engineering modifications to plant

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details

  • Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross functional teams vendors and technicians

  • Hands-on and willing to work on site to support engineering and plant activities
