Intern F10 Probe Equipment - Auxiliary Tools Continuous Improvement Project

Summary:
Support Probe Auxiliary equipment enhancement initiatives through basic mechanical design rapid prototyping and exposure to automation and AI concepts. The internship focuses on improving equipment capability stability and productivity in a semiconductor manufacturing environment while developing practical engineering and problemsolving skills.

Project Title:
Probe Auxiliary Equipment Reliability and Productivity Enhancement

Project Description:
Probe Auxiliary equipment plays a critical role in supporting wafer bake inspection and packaging operations. To improve equipment reliability productivity and reduce human dependency continuous enhancement initiatives are required. This internship provides handson exposure to mechanical design prototyping and basic automation concepts applied in real manufacturing operations.

  • In this project the intern will support simple mechanical design activities such as fixtures jigs or minor equipment improvements for Probe Auxiliary tools.
  • The intern will apply rapid prototyping techniques including 3D printing to validate enhancement ideas quickly.
  • The intern will gain exposure to basic automation or AI concepts used to improve equipment reliability and reduce human error.
  • The intern will assist engineers in testing documenting and reviewing equipment enhancement ideas.
  • The intern will learn structured problemsolving approaches and safe engineering practices in a manufacturing environment.

Scope:

  • Basic mechanical design using CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks or equivalent)
  • Rapid prototyping using 3D printing
  • Equipment enhancement testing and documentation
  • Exposure to equipment automation and simple AI concepts
  • Support data analysis for equipment performance improvement

Deliverable:

  • Prototype or design concepts for simple equipment enhancements
  • Documentation of testing results and improvement opportunities
  • Contribution to equipment capability stability or productivity improvement

Impact of Project:
Improved Probe Auxiliary equipment reliability productivity and reduced manual dependency.

Skillset Required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software
  • Basic analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Interest in equipment automation and 3D modeling
  • Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment
