Director IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is a well-established organisation in Singapore seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Director to provide strategic leadership across its technology infrastructure environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that infrastructure capabilities are secure resilient scalable and aligned with the organisation's business and technology objectives. The role will provide leadership across infrastructure strategy operations transformation service delivery and technology adoption while leading teams and managing key technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy & Transformation

• Develop and execute a forward-looking IT infrastructure strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
• Provide strategic direction across the infrastructure technology landscape including architecture platforms networks endpoints cloud and core infrastructure services.
• Assess current and future infrastructure capacity performance scalability and technology requirements.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and opportunities to improve service quality operational efficiency security and cost effectiveness.
• Drive the adoption and enablement of AI capabilities within the infrastructure environment.

Infrastructure Operations & Service Delivery

• Provide overall leadership for the management and operation of IT infrastructure services.
• Ensure infrastructure services are highly available reliable secure and resilient.
• Oversee infrastructure operations across areas such as network endpoint cloud data centre servers storage virtualisation and related technology platforms.
• Establish appropriate service management practices performance measures service levels and operational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure services and operations.

Architecture Governance & Security

• Provide thought leadership on infrastructure architecture and technology direction.
• Establish appropriate infrastructure standards policies procedures and governance frameworks.
• Ensure infrastructure design and operations comply with relevant regulatory security and organisational requirements.
• Work closely with relevant technology functions to strengthen infrastructure security resilience and risk management.
• Promote the effective application of IT service management and improvement methodologies.

Technology Projects & Implementation

• Lead and oversee significant infrastructure programmes and projects from planning through successful implementation.
• Ensure major infrastructure initiatives are delivered effectively within agreed objectives and with appropriate stakeholder engagement.
• Assess and introduce technologies that enhance infrastructure capabilities security efficiency and service quality.
• Communicate infrastructure transformation plans progress and key developments to senior stakeholders.

Leadership & People Management

• Lead and develop infrastructure teams establishing clear objectives accountability and direction.
• Oversee workforce planning performance management and capability development.
• Coach and mentor team members and support ongoing professional and career development.
• Foster a structured organised and collaborative approach to infrastructure planning delivery and operations.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with technology vendors service providers and external partners.
• Lead commercial and service discussions and negotiations with key technology providers.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with senior management and business stakeholders.
• Represent the organisation in engagements with external technology partners.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or a related discipline.
• ITIL v3 or above certification.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management and operations including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong experience leading large-scale infrastructure environments and transformation initiatives.
• At least 5 years of project management experience with demonstrated successful delivery of multiple large-scale and complex infrastructure projects including significant long-duration initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IT service management infrastructure governance operational standards and continuous service improvement.
• Broad technical knowledge across IT infrastructure domains including network endpoint cloud data centre servers storage virtualisation DevOps and cybersecurity.
• Good understanding of emerging infrastructure technologies including Artificial Intelligence and AI-enabled infrastructure capabilities.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture service availability resilience capacity and performance management.
• Experience working with external technology vendors service providers and strategic partners.
• Strong leadership people management and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Structured and organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex infrastructure environment.
• Visionary innovative and adaptable with the ability to assess and adopt new technologies effectively.
• Practical experience in applying ITIL methodologies within IT operations.
• Familiarity with service improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
