Director, Finance

Director Finance Singapore

We are seeking a dynamic finance professional partner with multiple business divisions providing comprehensive financial insight and this role you will proactively anticipate trends and assess financial impacts delivering timely analysis forecasting budgeting and profitability reporting to guide strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in driving business performance by identifying risks and opportunities as well as leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

To succeed in this role you will bring solid experience in financial analysis and business partnering. A degree (or equivalent) in a numerate discipline is required with an accounting qualification considered an advantage. You should be highly proficient in Excel comfortable building financial models and confident in problem-solving. Experience working with lean or agile methodologies will also be beneficial.

Role Responsibilities:

• Directs multiple business finance operations or areas of specialized expertise.
• Leads finance teams and financial analysis in all aspects of business operations to support revenue growth expand operating margins and supports resource prioritization to maximize profits and return on investment in accordance with Company strategy.
• Critical reviewer of strategic initiatives and financial performance to assess near and long-term business risks and opportunities presenting findings to senior business partners.
• Understands and clearly articulates complex business issues.
• Strong functional expertise expanded organizational and industry knowledge.
• Solid negotiation and influencing skills with cross-functional business leaders to facilitate achievement of organizations financial objectives.
• Capable of developing an education position building consensus and delivering on multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Performs managerial responsibilities including developing team skills and capabilities as part of CFO talent management strategy.

Role Requirements:

To be successful in this role end- to-end experience in project management.

• Bachelors in Business Administration Accounting Finance Math 10 years experience or equivalent with leadership experience.
• Outstanding facilitation and communication skills including ability to inspire others.
• Ability to communicate effectively at a technical or non-technical level depending on the audience.
• Superior leadership coaching and mentoring skills including the ability to lead a high-performing team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all different levels in the organization.

Work Shift

Western Union values in-person collaboration problem solving and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
