Job Summary

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as aDirector - ETF and Indexing Sales.

In this role you will:

  • Provide specialist experience on HSBC Asset Managements passive fund range covering ETFs ICAV mandates and solutions. The role holder will be responsible for retaining and developing client business across all client segments within SEA region.
  • Understand completely the interaction of the buy and sell side as it relates to passive investments. Ideally the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of processes in the asset managememt space and portfolio management needs.
  • Grow deep and broad global client relationships across the Sovereign Wealth Fund Central Banks segments and other main Institutional clients to enhance the HSBC franchise and generate value added business.
  • Work with the HSBC Global Relationship Bankers (GRBs) to manage and cultivate client relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Proactively participate in the marketing of the HSBC Asset Management passive range by working with the Investment Specialist team to create high quality sales materials adapted to the segment of coverage.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding account visits client conversations finalised contracts etc.

To be successful you will need:

  • A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a global team.
  • Prior proven experience in the Asset Management industry with specialist exposure ETFs ideally but not essential of at least 5 years.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Professional qualifications / certifications like a CFA IMC are a positive but not a pre-requisite.
  • Strong understanding and experience in the workings of ETFs and index funds.
  • The role will also involve client interaction and the job holder may need to obtain adequate regulatory certifications.
