Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on and practical Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function across Singapore and Malaysia reporting to the CEO.
This role focuses on strong financial control governance cost management while ensuring alignment with the reporting and compliance standards of our listed parent company.
The CFO will be a key partner to the CEO ensuring financial discipline transparency and sustainable profitability. This is an operationally focused CFO role with significant governance responsibilities.

1. Financial Leadership & Support
Lead the finance team in Singapore and Malaysia.
Give clear financial advice to help the business make good decisions.
Track profits costs and performance.
Work with operations and project teams to improve results.
Develop KPIs and dashboards to help managers track performance.

2. Group Finance Communication & Representation
Act as the main finance contact with the listed parent company.
Present financial results key changes and business drivers clearly.
Explain the business reasons behind the numbers not just the figures.
Handle sensitive topics like provisions losses project margins and risks.

3. Governance Risk & Internal Controls
Strengthen and maintain a strong internal control system.
Ensure compliance with Singapore and Malaysia regulations.
Manage operational and financial risks.
Ensure proper delegation of authority and approval processes.
Lead audit review and address audit findings promptly and effectively.

4. Budgeting Forecasting & Cost Control
Prepare yearly budgets and regular forecasts as requested by parent company
Monitor factory costs project margins and overhead spending.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting operations.
Ensure all departments control costs and align spending with companys financial goals.

5. Cash Flow & working capital Management
Keep track of incoming and outgoing fund making sure the company has enough cash to meet obligations
Monitor receivables payables and inventory levels.
Manage banking relationships and loan facilities.
Ensure efficient use of working capital for smooth operations

6. Project & Factory Financial Oversight
Monitor financial performance of construction projects.
Track contract claims billing certifications and collections.
Ensure projects stay within approved budgets.
Oversee factory inventory production costing and capital spending.

7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead and develop finance teams in Singapore and Malaysia.
Standardize processes across both locations.
Improve systems reporting efficiency and financial controls.
Drive continuous improvement in finance operations.

Requirements & Qualifications
Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA CPA CA) is preferred.
1015 years of finance experience with senior leadership role. Experience in manufacturing or project-based construction businesses is a plus.
Strong knowledge of financial planning budgeting forecasting cash flow management risk management and compliance with Singapore and Malaysia regulations.
Experience leading and developing finance teams across locations.
Hands-on experience with cost control project and factory financial management and strong financial governance.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen integrity and ability to drive financial discipline and process improvements.

Working hours:
Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm
