GIC Business Management & Operations

Join a small high-impact team that is key to how GICs Real Estate business runs measures itself and makes decisions. RE Business Management & Operations partners closely with investment finance & operations technology and data teams to build the platforms data and reporting that power one of the worlds largest real estate investment portfolios. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full RE business direct interaction with multiple stakeholders and the chance to assist in shaping how data digitalisation and AI are applied across the franchise.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with RE colleagues and other departments including the Information & Insights Group Global Investment Services and Technology Group to improve and digitalise processes across the Real Estate business vertical working at the intersection of real estate data and technology.
  • As representative data owner for RE contribute towards the identification design collection and quality control of data that is critical for REs analytics needs.
  • Engage internal RE stakeholders to gather user stories and requirements and co-create platform enhancements across areas such as investment governance risk management and due diligence and post-investment monitoring and reporting.
  • Act as a conduit between business users and developers on RE platforms writing user stories planning test scenarios coordinating UAT and tracking defects to resolution.
  • Maintain documentation operational guidelines and training content for owned workstreams and escalate risk areas or delivery issues to project sponsors and team leads in a timely manner.
  • Champion the use of AI tools in daily tasks to drive demonstrable productivity and efficiency improvements and contribute to team playbooks and responsibilities.
  • Provide flexible support across RE BMOs priorities as the teams book of work evolves taking on new workstreams where analytical process-design or reporting skills are needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience and good academic qualifications in relevant fields (e.g. Finance Business Analytics Real Estate Computer Science or Information Systems).
  • Experience in process design workflow implementation business analysis reporting or data analytics preferably within a financial institution.
  • Good data management background and demonstrable experience handling large datasets.
  • Practical experience using AI tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL is a must while knowledge in programming or data visualization tools such as Python Tableau Power BI or Databricks would be an advantage.
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas formulate tactical plans and execute to agreed timelines.
  • Able to communicate effectively with business users and developers and articulate ideas and solutions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong learning agility and desire to learn; comfortable acquiring new skills tools and domain knowledge to support the teams evolving book of work.
