About the role

We are looking for an Analyst - Supply Chain Integration & Reporting. This role sits within the Global Integrated Planning function supporting the Rio Tinto Lithium Product Group.

The role plays a critical part in connecting and providing visibility across the end-to-end Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) network. This includes upstream production in Argentina downstream processing and tolling and global sales across a diverse portfolio of lithium products (including carbonate hydroxide metals chloride butyllithium and related derivatives).

The successful candidate will develop a deep integrated understanding of how material flows through the network each monthlinking production conversion sales and inventory into a single coherent view. As the asset base expands significantly over the next five years this role will act as a key integrator ensuring alignment across functions and providing clarity to stakeholders on operational and financial outcomes.

A key aspect of success in this role is maintaining strong connectivity with day-to-day operations. The individual will be expected to actively participate in regular operational forums including upstream plant discussions and downstream commercial and supply chain meetings to stay closely aligned with evolving issues decisions and performance drivers across the network.

Reporting to the Global Demand Planning Manager with a matrix reporting line to the Global Supply Planning Manager you will:

End-to-End Visibility

  • Develop and maintain a structured node-level view of the LCE supply chain tracking inventory positions and material flows across production sites tolling/conversion facilities and global distribution points.

  • Track reconcile and validate monthly material movements ensuring alignment across production downstream processing sales and inventory balances.

  • Support the consolidation and validation of global datasets to maintain an accurate and consistent view of production sales and inventory

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Partner with upstream operations downstream processing sites and commercial teams to understand performance drivers constraints and variances.

  • Participate in regular operational and commercial forums to stay aligned with day-to-day developments across the network.

  • Work with Finance to support monthly quarterly and year-end reporting providing analysis and explanations of operational performance.

Performance Analysis & Insights

  • Prepare and contribute to management reporting translating operational data into clear and concise insights for stakeholders.

  • Analyse and explain variances between plan and actuals across production supply chain and commercial outcomes.

  • Support identification of key risks issues and opportunities through structured data analysis.

Planning & S&OP Support

  • Support demand and supply planning activities including supply-demand balancing and scenario analysis.

  • Provide relevant supply demand and inventory insights to S&OP processes and Monthly Business Reviews.

  • Collaborate with planning teams to improve alignment between operational realities and planning assumptions.

Additional Scope & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Finance and stakeholders to improve visibility of working capital drivers (inventory receivables and payables).

  • Support efforts to improve data integrity consistency and alignment across systems and reporting processes.

  • Assist in onboarding and integrating new assets into the supply chain reporting framework.

  • Contribute to enhancements in data models reporting automation and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).

About you

To be successfully considered for this role you will have:

  • A bachelors degree in supply chain Engineering Finance Economics or a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in supply chain integrated planning operations analytics or finance in mining chemicals or similarly complex industries.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes including production inventory management and distribution.

  • Experience working across global cross-functional teams in complex operational environments.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience linking operational performance to financial outcomes (e.g. working capital margins).

  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and analytics/visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex information clearly at both high level and detailed levels.

  • High attention to detail with a structured and disciplined approach to data and reporting.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment with expanding asset scope.
