Airfield Operations Coordinator, Journeyman
Job Summary
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experiencedAirfield Operations Coordinator Journeymanto support airfieldlogisticsand operational coordination across the Indo-Pacific. The Airfield Operations Coordinator Journeyman serves as CACIslogisticsmanagement professional responsible for coordinating airfield activities that support the reception staging onward movement and integration (RSOI) of personnel cargoaircraft and mission-essential equipment. Reporting directly to the RSOI Coordination Lead this position synchronizes airfieldlogistics cargo handlingaircraftservicing and ground operations to enable efficient mission execution and sustainment throughout geographically dispersed and contested operational environments.
The Airfield Operations Coordinator works closely with Government stakeholders airfield managers aerial port personnel Air Mobility Command (AMC) U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) movement control teams logistics planners Service Components coalition partners commercial aviation providers and host nation organizations to coordinate aircraft arrivals and departures cargo movement passenger processing and airfield support operations. This position contributes to successful program execution by maximizing airfield throughput improving operational efficiency and supporting Joint and Special Operations Forces throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily airfield operations supporting military and commercialaircraftconductinglogisticsand operational missions.
Synchronizeaircraftarrivals departures parking cargo handling passenger processing refueling and ground support activities.
Coordinate Reception Staging Onward Movement and Integration (RSOI) activities conducted through theater airfields and expeditionary landing zones.
Coordinate with aerial port personnel airfield management movement control teamslogisticsplanners and transportation organizations to support mission requirements.
Monitoraircraftschedules cargo movement airfield capacity and operational constraints while recommending adjustments to improve mission execution.
Coordinate material handling equipment (MHE) cargo loading and unloadingaircraftservicing and cargo staging operations.
Support deployment operations contingency airlift missions humanitarianassistance disaster response and emergentlogisticsoperations.
Coordinate customs agricultural inspections hazardous cargo requirements and host nation support activities affecting airfield operations.
Prepare operational reports cargo movement summaries throughput metrics and executive-level briefings for Government leadership.
Ensure compliance with Department of Defense transportation policies airfield operating procedures flight line safety requirements and contractual obligations.
Maintain airfield operations records cargo documentationaircraftmovement logs andlogisticsplanning documentation.
Support operational exercises deployment rehearsals and airfield readiness assessments.
Coordinate with coalition partners commercial carriers and host nation agencies to improve interoperability and operational efficiency.
Promote operational safetylogisticssynchronization and continuous process improvement supporting airfield operations.
Support distributed and contestedlogisticsoperations requiring rapid airfield coordination and operational adaptability.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting airfield operations aerial port operationslogisticscoordination transportation management movement control or deployment operations for Government or Department of Defense programs.
Experience supporting Department of Defense Joint Combatant Command Service Component Air Mobility Command U.S. Transportation Command or Special Operations organizations.
Experience coordinatingaircraftground operations cargo movement passenger processing or airfieldlogisticsactivities.
Experience supporting Reception Staging Onward Movement and Integration (RSOI) deployment planning or theater sustainment operations.
Experience preparing operational reports cargo documentation movement schedules andlogisticscoordination products.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple organizations supporting airfieldlogisticswhile meeting operational timelines and mission priorities.
Desired
Bachelors Degree in Logistics Aviation Management Transportation Management Supply Chain Management Military Science Business Administration or a related field.
Experience supporting USSOCOM SOCPAC Geographic Combatant Commands Air Mobility Command (AMC) U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Joint Task Forces or Service Component headquarters.
Experience supporting Indo-Pacific operations expeditionary airfield operations contestedlogistics distributed sustainment or multinationallogisticsoperations.
ExperienceutilizingGlobal Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS) TC-AIMS II GCCS-J JOPES Power BI SharePointMicrosoft 365SmarTrack and other air mobility andlogisticsinformation systems.
Knowledge of airfield management procedures aerial port operationsaircraftcargoloading hazardous materials handling Joint deployment doctrine and Defense Transportation System policies.
Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Project Management Professional (PMP) Air Transportation Career Development certifications or equivalentlogisticsand aviation certifications are preferred.
Experience supporting TS/SCI operations Special Operations Forces expeditionary airfield management contingency deployment operations and distributedlogisticsthroughout the Indo-Pacific is highly desirable.
