Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Singapore isseekingcurious motivated Process & Equipment Engineering interns to joinour waferfabrication operations. Every chip starts as a bare silicon substrate and moves through hundreds of precisely controlled steps as an intern you will work alongside an assigned engineer to help monitor those critical steps catch abnormalities early and drive improvements that protectwaferquality and yield.
Essential Responsibilities & Project may include:
In your role as an Engineering Intern you will be paired with an assigned Engineer to:
Support equipment preventive maintenance execute scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting on time in support of production protecting uptimequalityand cost
Assistwith tool installationmodificationand hardware repair to improve capacitythroughputand overall tool efficiency
Reduce variability in process recovery procedures and standardize processes across equipment
Review analyze and respond to inline process control charts to meet qualitycostand productivity goals
Improve early problem detection including enhancements to limits of detection (LOD) and strengthen process performance measurement techniques
Execute actions tooptimizeproduction moves qualify new processes and reduce the cost of chemicals and/or qualification wafers
Participate in quality improvement and cross-functional team projects offering constant feedback on areas of improvement
Lead an improvement project end-to-end and present your results

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Securityrequirementsand programs.
Required Qualifications:
Education Actively pursuing aBachelorsdegree inChemical Engineering Electrical/Electronic Engineering Mechanical Engineering Materials Science & Engineering Chemistry or Physicsor related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
Must be in good academic standing.
Ability to work at least40 hoursper week during the internship.
Available for a 1624 weekcredit-bearing internshipcommencingJanuary 2027.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace school projects competitions etc.
Project management skills i.e. the ability to innovate andexecute onsolutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong interest inleveragingAI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity streamline workflows and support effective decision-making.
An inquisitive mindset and a positive proactive learning attitude
