Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation Commissioning refurbishment Startup Maintenance
• Trouble Shooting & Upgrading of Medium Voltage synchronous and induction motors generators excitation & AVR systems. With knowledge on Medium Voltage Variable speed drives systems.
• Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation operation calibration repair and maintenance at customers sites.
• Writing technical reports ordering materials securing quotations preparing job status reports reports to customers time sheets and expense sheets on a complete timely and thorough basis.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
• Maintain strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (Electrical Engineering preferred)
• Minimum 7 years of field service experience with medium voltage motors generators excitation systems and commissioning of rotating equipment.
• Hands on experience in electrical testing and commissioning of electrical rotating machines and drives systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time as required
