Job Summary

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for executing electrical installation testing commissioning and maintenance works on-site. This role supports engineers and supervisors in ensuring electrical systems and equipment are installed and maintained safely accurately and according to project standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute electrical installation works including:

    • Cable pulling and termination (LV/MV systems).

    • Installation of switchgear panels and distribution boards.

    • Installation of lighting power outlets and small power systems.

    • Installation of earthing and lightning protection systems.

  • Support installation of specialized equipment such as robotics conveyors and manufacturing machinery.

  • Perform continuity and insulation resistance tests on electrical systems.

  • Assist engineers during functional testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

  • Calibrate and test protective devices including breakers relays and sensors.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in equipment and building systems.

  • Replace defective components such as wires breakers motors and sensors.

  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical systems.

  • Follow Saudi Labor Law SEC regulations NFPA and IEC standards.

  • Adhere to Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and permit-to-work systems.

  • Use proper PPE and tools to ensure safe working conditions.

  • Record daily installation activities test results and as-built details.

  • Update red-line drawings for final as-built submission.

Future Use: Suitable for facility operation & maintenance (O&M) teams or field installation teams in contracting projects.



Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • 25 years of experience in electrical installation testing and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of LV/MV systems switchgear distribution boards and protective devices.

  • Experience with functional testing commissioning and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with Saudi Labor Law SEC regulations NFPA and IEC standards.

  • Understanding of Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and permit-to-work systems.

  • Strong safety awareness and use of PPE.

  • Ability to read electrical drawings and as-built red-line updates.

  • Good communication coordination and reporting skills.
