Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Air Navigation Services Expert

Conduct studies and analyses related to integrating AAM systems into air-traffic management (ATM) networks including evaluating air routes separation levels communication/navigation/surveillance (CNS) systems and traffic-management procedures for AAM aircraft. The role includes developing technical frameworks for AAM corridors and routes and defining system requirements to ensure safe and coordinated operations.

Under the direction:

• Conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring the safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation system.

• Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within GACA.

• Develop regulations and procedures prepare technical recommendations and obtain the required approvals.

• Assess Air Traffic Management (ATM) needs and procedures for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

• Develop air-route models for VTOL aircraft within urban and suburban airspace.

• Analyze CNS system requirements for future AAM operations.

• Participate in the development of the Low Level Airspace Concept and initial air traffic framework.

• Evaluate air-traffic congestion and propose solutions to integrate AAM flights into the airspace.

• Participate in preparing operational regulations for AAM aircraft.

• Support testing related to AAM air corridors and traffic-management solutions.

• Support and enable tests and flight trials for AAM systems.

• Perform any additional tasks assigned by direct management related to the nature and scope of the job.

• Prepare reports on time and with the required quality.

• Commit to cybersecurity-related tasks and responsibilities.

The work of this position directly contributes to the safe and effective integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the national aviation system supporting GACAs strategic objectives and alignment with international aviation standards.

The incumbent works under the direction of the General Management of Advanced Air Mobility AAM within the Aviation Safety and Environmental Sustainability sector. The role requires close coordination with internal GACA departments regulatory bodies OEMs operators and international aviation organizations.

• Bachelors degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent.

Essential:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the field.

Desirable:

• Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies.

Essential:

• Proficiency in English.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Arabic is desirable
