The Senior Service Engineer is a key technical specialist responsible for delivering high-quality service solutions to customers throughout the full lifecycle of installed systems and equipment. The role combines advanced technical expertise with strong customer focus to ensure safe reliable and efficient operation of assets while contributing to customer satisfaction.
The Senior Service Engineer operates with a high degree of autonomy supports complex service activities and acts as a technical reference for customers colleagues and cross-functional teams.
How youll make an impact:
- Perform advanced commissioning troubleshooting maintenance upgrades and repairs on complex systems and equipment.
- Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Execute service activities in compliance with technical standards quality requirements and safety regulations.
- Act as a trusted technical interface for customers during service execution and after-service follow-up.
- Support customer training technical briefings and on-site guidance when required.
- Provide clear technical explanations recommendations and improvement proposals to customers.
- Ensure service activities comply with all Health and Safety internal procedures contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical input for service quotations upgrades and retrofit opportunities.
- Coordinate with service coordinators project managers engineering and supply chain to ensure efficient execution.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers maintaining strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Your background:
- 510 years of hands-on field service experience in industrial electrical automation or power systems environments.
- Proven experience with complex installations commissioning troubleshooting and lifecycle service activities.
- Background in customer-facing roles working independently on-site and managing technical responsibility.
- Experience in service projects outages retrofits upgrades or system extensions is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the following depending on the business area: Automation and control systems (PLC DCS SCADA) Protection and control systems communication networks.
- In depth knowledge of Substation Automation Systems such as MicroSCADA or similar will be beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on customer sites including occasional on-call or outage support.
