Software Engineer (PythonWeb Scraping)

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Python/Web Scraping) to join an international engineering team working on a data-driven product that provides insights into the labour market. You will develop and maintain web scraping solutions that collect data from thousands of sources while also building and supporting backend services within a distributed microservices environment. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with solid Python and web scraping experience who wants to deepen their skills in microservices distributed systems and large-scale data collection while gradually taking ownership of increasingly complex solutions.

Salary: 12 000 PLN - 15 000 PLN gross on the Contract of Employment

Working model: hybrid - 3x weekly from the office

• Develop and maintain web scraping solutions that reliably collect data from a wide range of online sources.
• Investigate scraping failures and adapt scripts as websites structures and technologies evolve.
• Build and improve backend services within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Monitor the health and performance of data collection processes and implement improvements where needed.
• Write clean well-tested and maintainable code continuously improving it through code reviews and collaboration with senior engineers.
• Work across the software development lifecycle partnering with Engineering Product and Data teams.
• Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement by sharing ideas asking questions and learning from experienced teammates.

• 2 years of professional experience in Software Engineering ideally with exposure to microservices or distributed systems.
• Practical experience with web scraping including technologies such as Python HTML/DOM parsing XPath or JavaScript.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and working in an iterative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to investigating and resolving technical issues.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly give and receive feedback and work effectively as part of an international team.
• Genuine interest in AI and its application in software development including using AI as both a development tool and a potential solution to technical challenges.
