What Youll Build
This isnt a chatbot role.
Youll build AI systems that directly impact how small businesses manage risk and insurance:
Proactive Coverage Intelligence that identifies coverage gaps and opportunities before customers know they exist.
Risk Advisory Systems that monitor payroll class codes audits and claims trends to surface issues early.
Pre-Quote & Pre-Underwriting Workflows that help us quote faster and more accurately than competitors.
24/7 AI Support Experiences that help customers understand coverage make changes and file claims in plain language.
Internal AI Copilots that amplify the productivity of every team at Glow.
Insurance is a high-stakes information-dense domain where AI can create meaningful leverage. The systems you build will have real-world consequences and measurable impact.
What Youll Do
Youll own products and features end-to-end - from identifying the problem to shipping the solution and measuring results.
Product Ownership
Work directly with users teammates and stakeholders to understand problems deeply.
Turn ambiguity into clear plans product requirements and execution.
Own outcomes not just implementation.
Build AI-Native Products
Design and integrate LLM-powered workflows using prompts tool calling structured outputs RAG and agent architectures.
Build systems that are reliable measurable and production-ready.
Improve prompts evaluations context management and agent tooling across the company.
Ship Across the Stack
Build production software using:
React & TypeScript
GraphQL
PostgreSQL
AWS
Temporal
No layer of the stack is off-limits.
Validate & Iterate
Monitor what you ship.
Measure user and business outcomes.
Debug improve and continuously refine systems after launch.
Use AI as a Force Multiplier
Claude Code Cursor and agentic development tools are core parts of our workflow.
Youll use them heavilybut youll also know when theyre wrong.
The job isnt writing every line yourself. The job is exercising the judgment to identify edge cases flawed assumptions security risks and incorrect implementations before they reach production.
Who Were Looking For
We care less about years of experience and more about ownership judgment and execution.
You should have:
13 years of software engineering experience (exceptional candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply).
A track record of shipping real products or features end-to-end.
Daily hands-on use of Claude Code Cursor or similar AI development tools.
Experience building with LLM APIs such as Anthropic OpenAI or equivalent.
Experience shipping at least one AI feature involving tool use structured outputs RAG or agent workflows.
Strong proficiency with and React/TypeScript.
Working knowledge of GraphQL PostgreSQL and AWS.
Strong product instincts and customer empathy.
Excellent technical judgment and attention to detail.
A bias toward action and ownership.
Low ego high EQ and a collaborative mindset.
A Computer Science or Software Engineering degree is preferred but demonstrated ability and a strong shipping record matter more than credentials.
Nice to Have
Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
Familiarity with:
Vercel AI SDK
LangChain / LangGraph
Anthropic SDK
OpenAI Agents
Experience building RAG systems embeddings pipelines or vector databases (pgvector Pinecone Weaviate).
Experience building MCP servers or agent tooling.
Experience designing evaluation frameworks for LLM systems.
