Job Summary

Our Client
Our Client an aviation company is seeking to employ a HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organizations business objectives while serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning organizational design and people initiatives.
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition processes including workforce planning job design sourcing interviewing selection onboarding and employer branding to attract and retain top talent.
  • Drive performance management processes by overseeing goal setting performance reviews succession planning talent assessments and employee development plans to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Design implement and evaluate learning and development programmes leadership development initiatives and capability-building interventions to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment by managing grievances disciplinary matters investigations conflict resolution employee engagement initiatives and workplace wellbeing programmes.
  • Develop review and implement HR policies procedures and best practices while ensuring compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws company policies and relevant aviation industry regulations.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration including salary benchmarking annual compensation reviews payroll coordination employee insurance and benefits programmes to maintain market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Partner with department heads to identify organizational and workforce development needs providing coaching and HR guidance to managers on employee lifecycle matters.
  • Lead organizational development and change management initiatives that support business transformation culture enhancement and continuous improvement.
  • Manage HR operations employee records HRIS and personnel documentation while ensuring data accuracy confidentiality and compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and workforce reports including turnover recruitment employee engagement absenteeism and training effectiveness using insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of high performance accountability diversity inclusion collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Finance and other business functions to manage HR budgets headcount planning workforce costs and other people-related expenditures.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities recognition programmes and initiatives that strengthen organizational culture employee morale and retention.
  • Stay abreast of emerging HR trends employment legislation and industry best practices to improve HR processes continuously and support business growth.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Industrial Relations Psychology or a related field. (Masters degree is an added advantage.)
  • Professional HR certification such as CIPM SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP HRCI (PHR/SPHR/SPHRi) or CIPD is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 810 years progressive HR experience with at least 35 years in a managerial or HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience working in aviation logistics transportation oil & gas FMCG telecommunications or another highly regulated industry is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labor Law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of performance management talent acquisition employee relations compensation and learning & development.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite



Required Skills:

BSc Marketing Business administration or a related field Post-graduate qualification is an added advantage 5 - 10 years post qualification experience Min 5 years in a Marketing leadership role Requirements A strategic mindset capable of developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans aligned with overall business goals. The ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing campaigns to capture the attention of the target audience and differentiate the company from competitors. Being adaptable to changes in technology consumer behavior and industry trends Ability to Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts media and other stakeholders for opportunities like partnerships collaborations and media coverage. Familiarity with the Aviation oil and gas industry in which the company operates. Understanding industry trends consumer behavior and competition is essential for effective marketing strategies. Proficiency in digital marketing channels including social media content marketing SEO and online advertising.
