Engineering Manager
Job Summary
The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering maintenance utilities and technical operations of MATNA Foods manufacturing facilities. The role is responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability plant availability operational efficiency preventive maintenance engineering projects and compliance with safety quality food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering maintenance and utility operations across the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
- Maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned production downtime.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
- Supervise and develop engineering maintenance and technical teams.
- Manage equipment installation commissioning upgrades and engineering projects.
- Monitor plant utilities energy consumption and engineering efficiency.
- Manage maintenance budgets spare parts contractors and technical resources.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with HSE food safety GMP and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records equipment history and technical documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement cost reduction and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Provide regular engineering performance reports and recommendations to management.
Qualifications :
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical/Electronics Mechatronics or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 710 years relevant engineering and maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years experience in a managerial or supervisory engineering role.
- Experience in FMCG food manufacturing agro-processing or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of plant engineering maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Practical experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Experience managing engineering projects contractors budgets and technical teams.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical mechanical automation and utility systems.
- Knowledge of GMP HACCP ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage.
- Professional engineering certification or relevant professional membership is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS or maintenance management systems.
- Strong leadership problem-solving analytical communication and decision-making skills.
