What Youll Be Doing
- Engage fully in McCains comprehensive apprenticeship programme including off-site block courses and training as required.
- Work alongside experienced electricians maintenance teams and production staff to support plant reliability and performance.
- Assist with installation maintenance fault-finding and repair of electrical systems equipment and automation across the site.
- Progress toward achieving all competency requirements for a qualified electrical tradesperson.
- Participate in all required training and development activities to support ongoing professional growth.
- Build confidence and capability over time taking increasing responsibility for electrical tasks under supervision.
- Follow all company policies including food safety hygiene occupational health & safety and McCains Code of Conduct.
- Maintain a strong commitment to electrical safety and safe work practices including compliance with lockout/tagout procedures.
- Carry out additional duties as directed within your training and capability.
- Work closely with maintenance and production teams across shifts.
What Youll Need to Be Successful
- Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent) with passes in Mathematics Science and English.
- A genuine interest in electrical systems automation or engineering.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Practical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
- Drivers licence (desirable).
