About the Role

What Youll Be Doing

• Engage fully in McCains comprehensive apprenticeship programme including off-site block courses and training as required.
• Work alongside experienced electricians maintenance teams and production staff to support plant reliability and performance.
• Assist with installation maintenance fault-finding and repair of electrical systems equipment and automation across the site.
• Progress toward achieving all competency requirements for a qualified electrical tradesperson.
• Participate in all required training and development activities to support ongoing professional growth.
• Build confidence and capability over time taking increasing responsibility for electrical tasks under supervision.
• Follow all company policies including food safety hygiene occupational health & safety and McCains Code of Conduct.
• Maintain a strong commitment to electrical safety and safe work practices including compliance with lockout/tagout procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as directed within your training and capability.
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams across shifts.

What Youll Need to Be Successful

• Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent) with passes in Mathematics Science and English.
• A genuine interest in electrical systems automation or engineering.
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Practical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Drivers licence (desirable).
