Position Overview:
As part of the talented Global Supply Chain team you will be responsible for managing daily Freight activities between our suppliers hubs and this role you will be responsible for booking shipments maintaining close communication with carriers and preparing the necessary shipping doing so you will of course ensure the efficient cost-effective and timely movement of goods throughout the supply your team you will be working closely with the Logistics Coordinator and other internal stakeholders ensuring a smooth operation that complies with the latest regulations. Next to the daily affairs you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and projects. The base office for this position will be in Amsterdam but travel to suppliers may be required.

Essential Functions:
The Freight coordinator will be responsible for managing daily Freight activities between our suppliers hubs and this role you will be responsible for booking shipments maintaining close communication with carriers and preparing the necessary shipping doing so you will of course ensure the efficient cost-effective and timely movement of goods throughout the supply your team you will be working closely with the Logistics Coordinator and other internal stakeholders ensuring a smooth operation that complies with the latest regulations. Next to the daily affairs you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor transportation activities across the EMEA region including but not limited to inbound and outbound
- First point of contact for freight questions/escalations and responsible to resolve them decisively
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of all shipping documentation including dangerous goods export/import requirements and regional regulations
- Support freight cost control by validating invoices monitoring carrier performance and identifying improvement opportunities
- Transparent & accurate freight planning between our suppliers and EMEA warehouses
- Shipment booking and administrative handling of in-house production and return logistics
- Liaise with the internal organization and translate demands to the carriers and vice versa
- Initiate periodical meetings with key supplier and carriers to discuss shipment quality performance cost and continuous improvement
- Both leading and participating in Continuous improvement projects and initiatives to support or improve overall operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in a logistical / freight coordinating role
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic fast-paced global business environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor in logistics or supply chain
- Knowledge of 3PL operations
- Experience with international shipping freight forwarders Incoterms customs procedures and transport documentation
- Competent in spoken/written English and Dutch
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP
- Strong Excel and data management skills
- Understanding of freight rate structures and transportation KPI
The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic addition to base pay this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
