We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic automotive service centre in the Central Business District (CBD).
Responsibilities
Process cash card and digital payments accurately and efficiently in compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly addressing inquiries and resolving transaction-related issues with professionalism.
Maintain strict accuracy in cash handling balancing daily registers and reconciling discrepancies with minimal supervision.
Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems including scanning items applying discounts and generating receipts.
Assist customers with product selection pricing information and promotional offers related to automotive parts and accessories.
Ensure a clean organised and secure cash handling area at all times.
Collaborate with service advisors and team members to support smooth workflow and timely customer service delivery.
Identify and report any suspicious or fraudulent transactions to the supervisor immediately.
Adhere to all health safety and security protocols within the service centre.
Contribute to team goals by demonstrating initiative accountability and a positive attitude.
Requirements
Requirements:
13 years of proven experience in a customer-facing role preferably in retail automotive or service-based environments.
Strong customer service orientation with a proven ability to handle diverse customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
High level of attention to detail ensuring 100% accuracy in transactions and record-keeping.
Proficient in time management and multitasking in fast-paced high-volume settings.
Solid basic math skills for handling cash making change and verifying transaction totals.
Experience with POS systems card processing and digital payment platforms (e.g. Apple Pay Google Pay contactless payments).
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and composure in handling customer complaints or conflicts.
Reliable trustworthy and committed to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
Required Skills:
Requirements: 4-5 years of experience in sales customer service or a related field (automotive experience is a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Strong customer service orientation with a proven ability to deliver high satisfaction.
