Job Summary

ACDC Express is looking for a friendly customer-focused and reliable Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately handling cash and card payments issuing receipts and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and organised checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Receive cash card and electronic payments.
Issue receipts refunds and exchanges.
Ensure correct pricing and accurate cash handling.
Maintain a clean and organised checkout area.
Greet and assist customers professionally.
Resolve customer queries and escalate concerns when necessary.
Promote and cross-sell products where appropriate.
Follow company policies procedures and cash-handling standards.

Requirements

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.

13 years experience as a cashier or in a retail customer service role.

Previous retail experience will be advantageous.

Basic computer literacy.

Excellent numerical and cash-handling skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Clear criminal and credit record.

Required Skills:

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent. 13 years experience in a security role. Retail security experience will be advantageous. Basic computer literacy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Valid drivers licence and own transport will be advantageous. Clear criminal and credit record. Legally authorised to work in Namibia. Registered with Security Enterprises and regulations Board
