Project Engineer

Company Background:

Job Responsibilities:

• Comply with all relevant national and regional laws regulations and company policies to ensure safe and compliant project execution.
• Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and monitoring construction activities from project commencement through completion and handover.
• Review engineering drawings specifications and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants contractors subcontractors suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Monitor project progress quality safety and cost performance; identify potential issues and propose corrective actions.
• Supervise site activities and ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings specifications and schedules.
• Attend site meetings progress reviews and technical discussions with project stakeholders.
• Support the management of M&E systems including power supply lighting HVAC ventilation water supply and drainage systems.
• Assist in the preparation and review of project schedules work plans method statements and technical reports.
• Coordinate inspections testing commissioning and acceptance activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements safety regulations and project quality standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation progress records technical submissions and handover documents.
• Report project progress technical issues safety concerns and risks to the Project Manager in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering HVAC Engineering Building Services Engineering Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 25 years of relevant experience in construction M&E industrial infrastructure or data center projects.
• Familiar with M&E systems including electrical distribution HVAC ventilation lighting water supply and drainage systems.
• Knowledge of construction processes engineering standards safety requirements and project execution practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Microsoft Project Primavera P6 or other engineering and project management software.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings technical specifications and construction documents.
• Strong coordination communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in data center construction projects will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
• Responsible detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as within a project team.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Location: Kempas Johor Bahru

Salary Range: RM4k - RM8k
