About us
The Sensor Electronics Engineer is part of the SEA Hardware Electronics. He/she will be working with engineers on multiple R&D projects to develop various sensing systemsandtechnologies using off-the-shelve sensor parts/modules. The role responsibilities will cover the following areas:
Develop cost-effective sensing technologies to use for a given problem.
Design buildtestand analysethesensing systems.
Develop and tune the sensing algorithmsas part of the product feature development.
Actively collaborate with other function teams (electronicmechanical embedded SW test team etc)for the full sensing systems integration andtoensure product and system requirements are fully met.
Taking designsfrom earlyproof of conceptthrough development and into production.
Liaise with external suppliers and third parties on Dysons product requirements ensuring smooth communication throughout the partnership.
In your first year you will
Be challenged to solve complex problems in novel ways.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate creative solution into Dyson products.
Work with product owners to capture requirements and selectappropriate sensingand actuating technologies.
Take designs through Dyson design process present andparticipatein design review.
Motivate and mentor graduate and regular engineers on your team.
Requirements
A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Electronics Engineering Physics)
Someworkingexperience in design implementation testinganalysisand characterization of off-the-shelve sensors such as (but not limited to)IMUmagnetic pressure hall-effect photo opticgas-sensoretc
Experience in various gas sensors (e.g. dust NO2 TVOC CO2 etc) isadvantageous.
Experience with quantitative and statistical data analysis usingMatlabor Python for sensing algorithm development.
Experience with analogue signal conditioning and digital processing design techniquesis good to have.
Experience using hardware lab equipment.
Experience in schematic / layout design and review is a plus.
Experience withanalysis/troubleshooting skills andtools.
Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing to executive level and regular engineers
