Job Summary

AIS is looking for a Business Development Manager in Asia Pacificto grow sales of ContraFlexpassive fire protection and thermal insulation by targeting new projects in the reigon.

What will you do as our Business Development Manager:


The Business Development Manager will be expected to adopt a proactive approach to sales which will include developing a business plan based on the upcoming oil & gas FPSO and topsides projects in the region. This will involve targeting the fabrication yardsengineering consultancies equipment manufacturers and contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing relationships with the client base in Asia Pacific across functions at all levels.
  • Seeking opportunities to introduce existing and potential new products to the market place.
  • Driving the fire protection and insulation businesses in the region in line with company expectations.
  • Securing profitable contracts and purchase orders against submitted quotations.
  • Overall building on AIS sales within Asia Pacific to become a leading player in the sector.
  • Handing over secured contracts to the execution team in line with company procedures.
  • Assisting and supporting company technical teams with research and development opportunities.
  • Reporting all work concisely accurately and regularly as required by company procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records as required by company procedures.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business.

What are we looking for in our Business Development Manager:

  • Ideally have strong market knowledge of the oil and gas sector
  • Experience of successfully selling technical products through the supply chain; from oil companies through engineering houses to the main subcontractors
  • A strong work ethic and a self-starting attitude
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow up actions accordingly
  • Proficient in the use of computer software including Microsoft Excel Word and Powerpoint
  • A confident assertive and proactive approach to work with a can doflexible attitude
  • The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously consistently to high standards of accuracy and quality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to engage credibly with technical and commercial stakeholders
