Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Field Sales Representative to drive business growth within the local market by identifying new opportunities acquiring customers and managing key accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular field visits developing strong customer relationships executing sales strategies gathering market intelligence and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories
Conduct regular field visits to customers distributors wholesalers retailers and prospective clients
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to closing sales
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive retention and growth
Develop and grow existing accounts to increase sales volume and market penetration
Execute sales and distribution strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
Promote products effectively and communicate value propositions to customers
Monitor customer performance and identify opportunities for increased sales and market coverage
Ensure timely order processing and coordinate with internal teams to facilitate fulfilment
Gather and report market intelligence on customer needs competitor activities pricing and industry trends
Support the launch and commercialization of new products within assigned markets
Prepare sales reports forecasts and account updates as required
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions sales activities and market visits
Represent the company professionally and uphold brand standards at all times
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Sales Marketing Business Administration or a related field
Minimum 2 years experience in field sales business development account management or a related commercial role
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Strong understanding of the Kenyan market and customer landscape
Excellent negotiation relationship management and closing skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories
Experience in FMCG manufacturing textiles distribution or consumer goods industries is an added advantage
