Job Summary

Globally UN Womens Flagship Programme Initiative Making Every Woman and Girl Count known as Women Count supports Member States in implementing the 2030 Agenda by advancing a transformative shift in the production availability accessibility and use of quality gender data and statistics. The programme aims to ensure that data on key aspects of gender equality and womens empowerment are regularly produced widely accessible and effectively used to inform policies programmes budgets and accountability frameworks. Women Count has delivered significant results during its first two phases by supporting national statistical systems strengthening institutional capacities improving the availability of gender statistics and promoting their use in decision making. Women Count Phase III covering the period 2026 to 2029 builds on these achievements by focusing on the full gender statistics ecosystem from the enabling policy and institutional environment to data production dissemination accessibility and use. It places strong emphasis on addressing data gaps strengthening technical capacities improving coordination between data producers and users and ensuring that gender statistics are more regular comparable policy relevant and accessible through knowledge products data platforms dashboards and user-friendly Jordan Women Count is an initiative meant to strengthen the capacity of the Government and Non-State Actors to produce and use gender data and statistics to inform and monitor the implementation of Jordans gender-related commitments in the 2030 Agenda.
Reporting to the Womens Economic Empowerment Specialist the Programme Associate is responsible for supporting the Office Programme by performing a variety of standard administrative processes ensuring high quality and accuracy of work of WEE focused areas. The Programme Associates promotes a quality and results-oriented approach. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the Operations Programme and projects staff team to ensure consistent service delivery and to resolve complex Programme related issues and information delivery.
Scope of Work
administrative and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes:
- Provide administrative support in the preparation of programme work plans budgets and proposals on programme implementation arrangements;
- Provide technical guidance to the womens economic empowerment portfolio and executing agencies on routine delivery and reporting of programme supported activities and finances;
- Prepare information for the audit of programmes/ projects and support implementation of audit recommendations;
- Review programme data from programmes/ projects for Jordan Country Office website
- Identify sources and gather and compile data and information for the preparation of documents guidelines speeches and position papers.
administrative support to the financial management of the Country Office:
- Create projects in Quantum system prepare budget revisions revise project awards and status; and determine unutilized funds and the operational and financial close of a project;
- Provide administrative support in monitoring budget preparation and the finances of programmes/projects; including the finalization of FACE forms;
- Review financial reports; prepare non-PO vouchers for development projects;
- Process payment for consultants;
- Maintain internal expenditures control system;
- Create requisitions in Quantum system for development projects; register good receipts in Quantum system
- Assist in the preparation and follow up of cost-recovery bills in Quantum system
administrative support to the Programme Unit:
- Undertake all logistical administrative and financial arrangements for organization for meetings workshops events and missions;
- Make travel arrangements for the Programme Team including travel requisitions and claims;
- Prepare public information materials and briefing packets;
- Assemble briefing materials and prepare PowerPoint and other presentations
administrative support to Resource Mobilization:
- Prepare cost-sharing and other agreements; follow up on contributions within the Jordan Country Office resource mobilization efforts
- Organize compile and process information from donors Jordan Country Office and programme team as inputs to various databases and documents.
knowledge building and knowledge sharing
Provide administrative support synthesis of lessons learnt and best practices related to programme management and finance
- Provide administrative support to the organization of training for the office personnel and partners on programme and operations related issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- Bachelors degree in business or public administration is desirable
Experience
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or programme management/support is required.
- Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packagesspecifically Excel is required.
- Experience in supporting a programme management team is required
- Experience in working with national and implementing partners is required
- Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System preferably Oracle Cloud is required.
Languages
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
