Web Developer for Atopia - a VC-backed Startup - Remote CET 3 Hours

Atopia is the metaverse that blends arts culture and gaming allowing users worldwide to dive into unique interactive and immersive experiences that can be enjoyed alone or with others. These experiences crafted by the worlds renowned cultural institutions using UGC tools facilitate meaningful engagement and connection whether in VR or from their desktops. Based in Munich Germany and supported by FOV Ventures and Heartfelt (formerly APX) Atopia redefines cultural access making it universally available anywhere.

As a Web Developer at Atopia you will build the online infrastructure that powers our platform. You will bridge the gap between frontend and backend systems enabling institutions to create new experiences and users to dive into the worlds were crafting seamlessly. This role is crucial for developing our Online Builder tools and Web Interfaces integrating live services into the web platform and ensuring a fluid engaging platform for our Unitybased experiences.

Tasks

• Design and implement responsive usercentric frontend interfaces using Next.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain scalable services complementing our microservices architecture. C# experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Prototype model and design APIs based on OpenAPI standards ensuring they are robust and scalable. Experience with tools like Apiary and Postman for API testing is valued.
• Engage in database management and operations specifically with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Champion DevOps practices including deployment and orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes with a strong familiarity with cloud services (AWS or GCLOUD).
• Work closely with our Unity developers to integrate web platforms with live services managing or building internal tools for artwork databases analytics and more.

Requirements

• Proven experience in web development with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Next.js TypeScript and ideally C#.
• A solid grasp of API design principles handson experience in prototyping and testing and a portfolio demonstrating it.
• Professional experience in managing and operating NoSQL databases specifically MongoDB.
• Handson experience with DevOps Tools and Practices such as Docker Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCLOUD).
• A creative problemsolver who can work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic startup environment.
• Passionate about Atopias mission with a desire to contribute to a platform that blends arts culture and gaming.
