Simply Green are a major European wholesale distributor of CBD and other smoking/cannabis-related products. The business is fairly unique in the industry in that almost all of its business is through its best-in-class digital platform. We operate in several EU countries and are launching additional websites over the coming 12 months. The business is growing and expanding rapidly and we need to build a first-class team to support us through the next phase of our growth.

About You

We are looking for an organized Warehouse & Inventory Manager to supervise and train the warehouse team, and take responsibility for the receipt, storage and accuracy of inventory and materials in our business.

To ensure success you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits. Top applicants are dedicated, competent and have strong attention to detail.

Tasks

  • Conduct regular cycle counts for fast-moving lines, and when necessary full inventory counts.
  • Support both the Head of Operations and the Inventory Buyer and where appropriate assign tasks to staff ensuring the efficient running of the warehouse, KPIs are met and a high level of service is maintained.
  • Receiving, storing, checking our inventory and overseeing the movement of goods.
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of inventory activities.
  • Oversee and manage our inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Visibly demonstrate commitment to QSHE performance and Continuous Improvement by actively engaging with people at all levels to raise awareness of safe behaviour and attitude.
  • Undertake all aspects of storekeeping including logging issues, pick, pack and dispatch of orders, stocktaking, stock reconciliation and receiving inventory (leading by example).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts for fast moving lines, and when necessary full inventory counts.
  • Perform regular analysis to predict potential inventory problems avoiding stock-outs, inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
  • Investigate anomalies within your area of responsibility and take action to rectify them.
  • Act as a focal point for all staff and customer order queries, using your initiative to resolve any outstanding customer requests. Ensure all high-priority work is processed promptly.
  • Maintain a high degree of competence in all facets of Logistics, including, IT, MHE processes.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to staff, including on-the-job training and to lead by example.
  • Complete any other duties allocated by the Management Team that are reasonable and may be required from time to time.
  • Working closely with sales, purchasing and other relevant departments to organise the efficient flow of orders.
  • Ensuring that all staff follow relevant health and safety regulations including conducting risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Ideally know business improvement methodologies ( Lean, Six Sigma/ etc.)
  • Have experience Managing or Supervising teams.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
  • Be able to learn and be competent in the use of multiple IT systems.
  • Have the ability to manage complicated processes and maintain informative written records.
  • Ideally have knowledge of business improvement methodologies ( Lean, Six Sigma/ etc.)
  • Have significant experience in Warehouse Operations.
  • Very strong communication skills and a suitable management style.
  • Must be able to motivate and mentor staff to get the best from them.
