The Role
An exciting role has been created for a Vendor Booking and Freight Associate to join our growing Operations team to lead and ensure a successful execution of the inbound operational functions.
Through our partnership profile and exciting growing mainline the demand for Castore is seeing us partner with the biggest retailers in the market as well as developing a distribution network on a global scale. This role will play an integral role in helping us deliver against our ambitious growth targets in this hugely strategic channel for our business.
Responsibilities
Develop new & maintain existing relationships with external Freight Forwarders 3PLs & internal stakeholders across all departments
Monitor compare and report on freight forwarder performance within agreed SLAs
Monitor compare and report on freight forwarder costs and rates
Manage vendor bookings
Review and check commercial documentation
Work closely with Supply Chain team giving visibility of inbound deliveries to the 3PL
Distribute a weekly shipment status report highlighting areas of risk
Weekly product data maintenance ensuring all product information for the open orderbook is accurate across all systems
Constantly driving for improvements and efficiencies through the team
Skills & Qualities
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
Experience of working in a similar role
Knowledge of commercial documentation and shipping terms
Experience of warehouse management and freight forwarder TMS
Ability to work crossfunctionally liaising with peer groups across the business to drive efficiencies and results
Ability to work within strict deadlines and able to be adaptive to changes
Comfortable in a fastpaced and everchanging business environment
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Flexible approach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fast pace growing business
Computer literacy (Microsoft suite) Excel Word Outlook
