Midland Health is seeking an experienced CT Tech Shift and ScheduleMonFri evenings 3pm to 11:30am no call. Must work holidays that fall on these days. Position Summary Practice technology founded upon theoretical knowledge and concepts use equipment and accessories consistent with the purposes for which they were designed and employ procedures and techniques appropriately. Assess situations; exercises care discretion and judgment; assumes responsibility for professional decisions; and acts in the best interest of the patient. Act as an agent through observation and communication to obtain pertinent information for the physician to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient and recognizes that interpretation and diagnosis are outside the scope of practice for the profession. Use equipment and accessories employ techniques and procedures perform services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice and demonstrate expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient self and other members of the healthcare team. Skills Knowledge and Abilities Current State of Texas License as a Radiology Technologist. Minimum of an Associate Degree in Applied ScienceRadiology or trained in a hospital based program (AMA approved). ARRT (R) MUST be (CT) registered Successful completion of cross sectional anatomy. Must have 2 years of experience as a diagnostic technologist. Equipment: GE VCT 64 Medrad Injectors Housing in NO longer included. Traveler/agency will need to secure housing. **If a traveler is selected for assignment a FULL State and County Criminal Background Check is required not limited to 7 years. **
