The ideal candidate should have prior experience in both sales administration and facetoface sales environments.
Key Performance Areas for this role include:
- Creating and generating sales through facetoface email and internet channels.
- Providing customers with quotations.
- Advising customers on the quantity and quality of stock needed for their projects.
- Organizing transport arrangements when necessary.
- Performing administrative duties.
- Managing stock on the system.
- Generating invoices.
- Handling payments from both cash and account customers.
- Following up on outstanding payments.
- Undertaking additional tasks as required.
Required qualifications/experience:
- Proficiency in numbers and accuracy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Product knowledge is beneficial.
- Exceptional administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Awareness of safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Previous sales experience.
- Experience in coordinating stock loading.
Proficiency in English is crucial for this role and a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 is essential. All appointments are based on merit and candidates who do not meet the specified criteria will not be considered. In line with the companys employment equity objectives preference may be given to candidates from the designated groups outlined in the Employment Equity Act. Please note that alternative Saturday work will be required.
