Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver comprehensive lessons in chemistry to students
• Utilize various teaching methods to engage and inspire students
• Assess and evaluate students progress through assignments tests and examinations
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the chemistry curriculum
• Participate in staff meetings professional development and training sessions
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students progress
• Supervise laboratory work and experiments
• Ensure safety measures are followed during practical sessions
• Support extracurricular activities related to chemistry
• Stay updated with advancements in the field of chemistry and incorporate relevant information into teaching
• Attend parentteacher conferences and other school events as required
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field
• Teaching certification or diploma in education
• Proven experience as a Chemistry Teacher at the secondary level
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and mentoring students
• Excellent knowledge of chemistry concepts and principles
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into lessons
• Understanding of assessment and evaluation techniques
• Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
