Position: Pathologists Assistant
Start Date: 4/1/2024
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Mattoon IL 61938
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 8
Shift Notes: MF 8A 4:30P / No call or weekends / 40 Hour Guarantee
Weekend Requirements: None
OnCall Requirements: No Call

Travel Policy: Applicants within 50 miles of facility are not eligible.

Further Specifics:
- Nonbillable Hours: 16 hours
- Applicants who were direct employees within the last 2 years are not eligible.
- OT/Holiday Markups: 1.25x Regular Rate
- Call Back Markup: 1.3x Regular Rate
- On Call rate: $5
In collaboration with the pathologist the Pathology Assistant is responsible for the gross pathology description and sampling of biopsy and/or other selected complex surgical tissue specimens. The dissection sampling and description is performed following established procedures to aid the pathologist in establishing the diagnosis.
