- Coordinate assessments of current capacities of national/subnational laboratories in the MENA region for accurate, reliable, safe, and timely testing for SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory viruses.
- Plan and conduct surveys, interviews, and group discussions to identify challenges and priorities for quality testing and reporting for SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory viruses.
- Analyze data and develop gap assessments of regional, national, and subnational laboratory capacities to support surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory disease threats.
- Provide technical support to develop or update policies, plans, and tools to strengthen national and regional laboratory networks for detection of SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory disease threats.
