Technical Accounting, Sr. Analyst

Job Description:

• Support development, maintenance, and communication of US GAAP and Consumer Health worldwide policies and procedures interpretations and trainings, related to financial accounting and reporting activities
• Assist in providing technical accounting guidance, insight, and implications to be applied to significant and/or non-standard transactions that are brought forward from the business
• Support the External Reporting team with quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Work with Controllership, Global Services, and local accounting teams Controllership teams to implement new financial accounting policies
• Support the year-end audit process, quarterly reviews, and partner effectively with external auditors, providing support and guidance in preparation of schedules and other analysis and assist in responding to recommendations
• Participate in special projects such as major accounting or Company policy and procedure changes, legislative activities, or special regulatory requests
• Maintain documentation on unique transactions
• Respond to accounting inquiries within area of responsibility

Position Requirements (Consider and identify requirements potential applicants must meet to be considered for the position):

• A minimum of bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Prior experience of 2-3 years in accounting/finance
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and business partnering skills
• Ability to efficiently give priority to activities and carry out regular functions with little or no supervision
• Must have good technical research skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent inter-personal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels
• Self-directed and motivated to continuously improve processes

Preferred Requirements/Competencies (Consider and identify requirements/competencies that are not required to perform the job, but would be very helpful to performing the job):

• CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other business/accounting master's degree
• Experience in public accounting and/or a public company environment
